Acer palmatum 'Oridono nishiki'

A lovely, upright Japanese Maple with small variegated leaves of Green, Pink and Cream in all sorts of colourways and combination, some leaves are fully pink. By the middle of Summer, green will be the predominant colour and by Autumn the foliage will turn a striking gold and orange before leaf fall. Sometimes the prevailing leaf colour can change from year to year, so this acer is always a surprise! Oridono has unusual pink and white striping in the stems. This Acer is a little quicker in growing and can reach 4 metres at maturity. Plant in a sheltered position out of strong winds and full, direct sun, a  partial or dappled shaded position is perfect and plant in a well drained, fertile soil. This Japanese Acer would make a great specimen tree.
