Canna 'Eric Neubert' is one of the most beautiful Canna available, it has very pretty open flowers which are a deep burnt orange colour and they contrast beautifully with the foliage which is a lovely bronze-tinted green. The leaves are slim and elegantly tapered, making a very attractive plant. Eric Neubert is suitable for direct planting in garden or for a container. This variety of Canna works so well with other summer perennials and grasses. The flowers really zing!
Cannas grow best in full sun in a location sheltered from wind, however they will take a little shade during the day. Water and feed well during the growing season. In winter, keep frost-free by either lifting and storing dry (just like a Dahlia) or leaving in situ with a thick mulch applied. Putting an upturned pot over the crown also works very well, this keeps the area dry and acts as a cloche.
