Acer palmatum 'Shaina'

Acer palmatum 'Shaina' is a an upright Japanese Maple tree with gorgeous red, new spring foliage which gradually turns a deeper red through the growing season before turning bright red again in autumn before leaf fall. As with most red leaf coloured plants, a good amount of light is needed to keep the foliage colour, if it is a little too shaded some of the foliage will turn green. Acers are very easy trees to grow, requiring very little maintenance. Plant in a well drained, fertile soil out of strong winds.
