Calamagrostis acu. 'Karl Foerster'

Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster', is a gorgeous, upright and neat ornamental grass with lots of beautiful slender flower stems, this grass looks great when planted en masse, it is often planted in cities and towns in a mono planting scheme, against the geometric hard landscaping it makes a wonderful contrast. It also is very popular amongst the 'Prairie Planting' style. The golden flower stems will last through winter, come February, chop the stems and foliage down to the ground, new growth will start to emerge in spring.
