Dryopteris affinis 'Cristata' AGM

'Cristata The King' is a fabulous cultivar from our native Dryopteris affinis woodland fern, it really is the 'King' of the ferns. It reaches approximatley 90cm x 90cm, it is a semi-evergreen fern, keeping its foliage for most of the year and if its particularly mild it will remain evergreen. Its young foliage is a lovely fresh golden green and and matures into a lush dark green with distinctive curly tufts on the ends of the leaves. 

Plant in a moist, shaded position in hummus rich soil for best growing conditions.
