These are stunning specimen plants and a real favourite of ours, this size Yucca rostrata is an architectural beauty and at least 30 years old. They have the most wonderful blue foliage and are striking as specimen plants, especially planted into a raised bed or planter and then the trunk also becomes a focal point. We have used Yucca rostrata in a number of contemporary gardens, planted against a plain, rendered wall they look amazing. The Y. rostrata is a very hardy plant and will tolerate very low temperatures, the biggest requirement is sun, so plant in a south facing position to keep that wonderful colouring. Its not always easy to obtain such lovely specimens of Yucca rostrata, so if we have sold out, bear with us, we are continually replenishing our stock and are always keen to find these beauties. We do have plenty of younger plants in stock and they are just as lovley, on a smaller scale!
Yucca rostrata dont mind very low temperatures they just need some sun for keeping the foliage pristine and as blue as possible. Plant in very well drained soil, we recommend a planter or pot. If you need help in searching for a lovely planter the we can recommend http://www.vasotoscano.com/ for beautiful terracotta.
